Earthquake Afterthoughts

This short comics was inspired by the magnitude 6.1 earthquake that rocked parts of Luzon (Zambales as the epicenter) last 22 April 2019. At that time, I was in Pasig City, where the earthquake's Intensity was V. After the shakings, we had to leave our workspaces and vacate the office building to transfer to safer open ground, just in case there were aftershocks. It was a rattling moment, especially since Metro Manila has not experienced an earthquake this strong for a long time. Moreover, it renewed discussions on the prospect of the “Big One” hitting Metro Manila.

We will not know when such calamities will actually arrive, but it helps to pray when fear of the worst strikes.
